RATES UPLIFT
At the SSP AGM held on 22 June 2024, members voted to approve the first formal uplift in fees in 5 years. The FST will recommend this 10% increase in rates to their members, effective April 2025. A new 'up to 15 mins' rate will also be introduced.
We are aware that several organisations in the sector have been voluntarily uplifting fees at this level in line with increases made to other theatre professionals over the past 12-18 months. We welcome the continuation of this practice and advise members to seek the minimum rates set out below where budgets allow.
For reference, this raises the minimum fee for a full-length play over 90mins to £10,250.
For shorter plays:
Up to 15 mins: £2,050
Up to 30 mins: £4,100
Up to 60 mins: £6,150
Up to 90 mins: £8,200
A further 5% increase is planned for April 2026 to rectify the recent 5 year stagnation in pay.
